At the Sydney Anglican Offices we are dedicated to supporting the growth of God’s Kingdom by providing valued services to churches and organisations across the Anglican Diocese of Sydney.

This role sits within Sydney Anglican Property (SAP).  The organisation oversees a multi-billion dollar balance sheet of property assets and a significant capital and maintenance program. It also provides strategic property development, asset management, and advisory services to support parishes, and diocesan ministries.

About the role

The Project Delivery Manager will be responsible for leading the contracting and delivery phases of capital works projects across SAP’s property portfolio. This will be through:

  • Project Delivery Leadership: Lead Diocesan building projects from project development handover through contracting and construction phases to operational handover.
  • Construction Management: Manage builders, contractors and consultants to achieve quality, timely and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Chair Project Control Groups and lead effective stakeholder collaboration during the construction phase.
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance: Ensure strong project governance and compliance with WHS, statutory and commercial requirements.
  • Budget & Commercial Oversight: Oversee project budgets, cashflow and cost forecasts, review variations and claims, and drive value for money and responsible asset stewardship.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in construction delivery, contract management, project management, and stakeholder management within complex property environments, including:

  • A degree in construction management, project management, engineering or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in construction, capital delivery or project management roles.
  • Demonstrated delivery of complex building or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong expertise in contract management, procurement and consultant oversight.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian construction standards, WHS and compliance requirements.

Desirable:

  • Experience in property portfolios, institutional assets, or not-for-profit environments.
  • Experience working with churches, social infrastructure or community facilities.
  • Relevant professional accreditation (e.g. PMP, AIPM, RICS, CIOB).
  • Understanding of diocesan governance structures.

Consistent with the ethos and values of the Sydney Anglican Offices, applicants for the position must have a demonstrated Christian commitment and are an active member of a church. Knowledge of the Diocese is an advantage.
