The Role
As the Associate Youth Minister, you will play a key role in discipling our youth across the Clifton Hill and Fairfield congregations. Reporting to the Youth Minister you will help youth integrate meaningfully into church life and build lasting relationships with peers and leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Ministry Leadership: Oversee and plan MCA youth activities outside of our Friday night youth group program, including leading quarterly Sunday Funday events for tweens, leading our youth services (eight times per year), and directing the annual youth camp.
- Congregational Integration: Develop strategies to integrate youth into the fabric of their local Sunday morning congregations.
- Team Building: Recruit, equip, and provide pastoral mentoring to our dedicated youth leaders, ensuring all safe ministry requirements are upheld.
- Youth Group Participation: Serve weekly on Friday nights, leading small groups, and contributing to talks and games at the Inner North Youth Group.
Support & Growth
We value your spiritual and professional health. You will receive fortnightly supervision with the Youth Minister, participate in external professional supervision, and join staff meetings whenever possible.
About You
This role is perfect for someone who is seeking to go into vocational youth ministry and may be undertaking theological education. You will have experience in youth ministry and a desire to see young people meet Jesus, grow in their love for Jesus, and thrive in their local church.
