Lead with Faith. Shape a unified Prep-12 community. Illawarra Christian School is seeking a Christ‑centred, relational, and strategic leader to join our Executive Team as Deputy Principal.
This is a pivotal role for an experienced educator who is passionate about Christian education, thrives in collaborative leadership, and desires to serve Christ by shaping people, culture, and practice across a flourishing Prep–12 school.

About the Role
The Deputy Principal works in close partnership with the Principal and Directors to provide cohesive leadership across the whole school.
You will play a central role in:
- Strengthening alignment between vision, strategy, and daily practice
- Supporting high‑quality teaching, wellbeing, and Christian formation
- Building a unified, high‑performing leadership culture
- Ensuring effective and consistent school operations
- This role provides leadership continuity and influence at the highest level of the school.

You are a leader who:

- Leads with humility, conviction, wisdom, and grace
- Builds trust and alignment through strong relationships
- Thinks strategically while remaining people‑focused

- Is calm, courageous, and steady in complexity and change
Experience in Christian education and senior school leadership is highly regarded. Applicants must have a right to work in Australia and hold current NESA Accreditation.
What You'll Lead
- Executive leadership and whole‑school improvement
- Teaching and learning across Primary and Secondary
- Student wellbeing and pastoral care
- Christian formation and school culture
- Staff leadership, development, and growth
- School operations, systems, and community engagement
You will lead through others, working closely with Directors to ensure clarity, coherence, and consistency across Prep–12.
Salary and Benefits
Salary and conditions under the Christians Schools NSW Teaching Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023.
