Youthworks is seeking a Fundraising Manager to join our Donor & Community Relations team. The Donor & Community Relations team influences new and existing supporters to partner with Youthworks to help see effective ministry to young people in churches, schools and families that orients them to Christ for life. The team combines both fundraising and communications functions to enhance supporter engagement across the organisation, furthering Youthworks’ vision and mission.

About the role

The Fundraising Manager is responsible for developing and driving direct marketing and digital campaigns and appeals, including development and management of the regular giving and gifts in wills programs. This position will contribute to Youthworks’ financial objectives through compelling communications and excellent donor stewardship, and by optimising existing campaigns and appeals and introducing new fundraising initiatives.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate and report on direct marketing and digital campaigns and appeals via the project management of multi-channel direct marketing & digital fundraising activities
  • Develop and optimise supporter journeys
  • Contribute to future fundraising strategies, defining business goals and outcomes
  • Management of the monthly giving and Gifts in Wills programs

You will need to demonstrate

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Media or PR, or 2+years of equivalent and relevant professional experience
  • Excellent organisational and project coordination skills, ability to manage multiple set deadlines and be flexible to changes in priority
  • Excellent written communications skills and ability to engage different audiences and channels
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to quickly establish rapport and work effectively with a wide range of people to achieve outcomes
  • A systematic and focused approach to tasks with strong attention to detail
  • Strong research and analytical skills, particularly ability to report and draw insights and take action based on analytics
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce CRM databases
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Demonstrated experience in staff management
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Demonstrated resilience, strength and initiative needed to thrive in a leadership role
  • Experience in a mentoring capacity
  • Personal Christian faith and willingness to work within an Anglican organisation
