Junior Primary Pastor

Seeking a passionate Junior Primary Pastor to lead and grow our Prep-Grade 4 ministry within Crossway Kids....

This role is 4.5 days a week and will provide strategic and pastoral leadership to children and families supporting their growth as disciples of Jesus in a vibrant, team-led environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide key leadership and oversee the Prep–Grade 4 ministry.
• Supervise and manage direct report staff.
• Recruit, equip and develop volunteer leaders.
• Facilitate discipleship through engaging weekly Biblical teaching and programs.
• Provide pastoral care for children, families and team members.
• Lead transitions between preschool, primary and upper primary ministries.
• Partner with parents and contribute to the wider Crossway Kids vision.
• Provide leadership and direction for local missional engagement.
• Build relationships with local schools and community organisations.
• Ensure safe and effective ministry in line with Child-Safe standards.

Key Selection Criteria

• A vibrant Christian faith and commitment to the mission of the local church.
• Relevant ministry/theological training or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading teams and developing volunteers.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Understanding of children’s ministry and discipleship.
• Commitment to child safety and compliance with Child Safe Standards.
