The Role

Rivercrest Christian College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Diploma-qualified Early Years Educator to join our 3-year-old program on a part-time, fixed-term basis until 9 December 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator who is passionate about early childhood learning and values working within a Christian educational environment.

Position Details:

Days: Wednesday to Friday (17.2 hours per week)

Program: 3-year-old kindergarten program

Duties:

Full day classroom support on Thursdays and Fridays

2 hours planning time on Wednesdays

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of a high-quality 3-year-old kindergarten program in line with the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with children, recognising their individual needs and backgrounds
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and spiritual development within a Christian learning environment
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom culture, using positive behaviour guidance
  • Work in partnership with families and colleagues to support each child’s development and wellbeing
  • Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating a high-quality early childhood program under the guidance of the Early Years Teacher
  • Collaborate with team members in planning, reflection, and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to a high standard of care and education aligned with early childhood best practice
  • Participate in team meetings, professional learning, and wider school activities
  • Observe and document children’s learning and development
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and Crest Education policies
  • Consistently demonstrate and uphold CREST’s shared values and behaviours in all daily activities; including the way in which decisions are made

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Have demonstrated experience working in an Early Learning Centre
  • Be confident and skilled in working with 3-year-old children
  • Enjoy contributing to a learning environment where Christian values are embedded and nurtured
  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
