About the role:
Join Carinity in this unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community development within a purpose-driven organisation. Working alongside the Community Development Coordinator and Mission Engagement leadership team, you’ll support the delivery of collaborative community projects across Queensland. Help create meaningful, lasting change in local communities.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about community impact, social justice and building strong partnerships.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Supporting community research, needs analysis and systems mapping across diverse communities
  • Assisting with the coordination and administration of community grant programs
  • Engaging with churches and stakeholders to support community development initiatives
  • Contributing to data collection, reporting and impact measurement activities
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of events, including conferences and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Coordinating logistics such as travel, accommodation, registrations and communications

Permanent Part-time | 30.4 hours per fortnight | Monday & Tuesday preferred | 1-2 days per week.

About you:
You’re values-driven, curious and keen to grow your experience in community development, with a collaborative approach and a genuine desire to make a difference. You’re comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Current enrolment in, or recent completion of, a qualification in community development, social sciences, ministry or similar
  • A strong interest in community development and social impact
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning new systems
  • Current National Criminal History Check (or ability to obtain)
  • Current Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle
