About the Role
The Facilities General Assistant will support the School in the maintenance and operations of the School’s buildings, cleaning, grounds and equipment, in a manner that is God honouring and consistent with the School’s vision to provide a Christ-centred education in a learning community of Love, Nurture and Service. The Facilities General Assistant is responsible to the Principal through the Business Manager. On a day-today basis, duties are set by the Facilities Manager.
Essential Criteria
- Possession of a recognised trade qualification, certification, or licence preferred.
- Industry training in WHS desired (E.g. White Card, Asbestos and Silica awareness)
- A current C Class or above Driver's license.
- Test and Tag Training desired.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, policies and procedure
- Ability to use initiative and work in a manner that is safe.
- Appreciation of the value and purpose of well-kept facilities.
- Genuine desire and ability to work as part of a team and in a collaborative manner.
- Ability to manage their time and meet deadlines.
- Positive work attitude.
- Good quality of work produced.
