About us

Our team at the Sydney Anglican Offices are dedicated to supporting the growth of God’s Kingdom by providing valued services to churches and organisations across the Anglican Diocese of Sydney.

This position is part of the ODSM team, which plays a key role in preventing and responding to abuse. ODSM is responsible for a range of activities including developing, maintaining, and updating Safe Ministry training and resources, complaints handling and pastoral care.

About the role

The web developer will develop and maintain a comprehensive web presence for the ODSM in order to better serve the churches in the diocese. In this role you will:

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of ODSM websites, hosting environments, backups, and WordPress systems.
  • Oversee technical updates, new features, redesigns, and LMS functionality.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external developers on integrations and course updates.
  • Provide support for Safe Ministry Training, including course changes and user assistance.
  • Lead digital setup and operations for the Faithfulness in Ministry conference.

About You

  • Able to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Skilled in web development, especially WordPress.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgement.
  • Excellent, professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer focused with experience meeting stakeholder needs.
  • Proactive and improvement minded.
  • Collaborative team player who values others’ input.

Consistent with the ethos and values of the Sydney Anglican Offices, applicants for the position must have a demonstrated Christian commitment and are an active member of a church. Knowledge of the Diocese is an advantage.
