Night Time Community Supervisor

We need someone who is resilient, kind, well organized and able to communicate humbly and clearly with our Rough Edges patrons, volunteers, Program Manager, and other key stakeholders. This role is offered as a job share opportunity, working on Monday and Wednesday nights. With set up time included, it is a total of 8 hours per week.

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience in working with people who are marginalised
• Love for Jesus and want to translate that love into practical care for vulnerable people
• Love for Christ's church and want to see more Christians volunteering to serve those on the margins
• Some practical experience in managing and working alongside volunteers
• Practical experience in building community connections with people inside and outside the church
• The ability to live with ambiguity and "rough edges"
• Lots of energy and don't take yourself too seriously

Rough Edges is an iconic community service situated in Darlinghurst. Originally established by St John's Anglican Church Darlinghurst, it was set up to provide warmth, acceptance and community to the homeless and vulnerable population of the Inner City of Sydney. It has a rich heritage of serving this community in Jesus' name since 1996.
