As our Librarian, you will:
- Collaborate with the Director and interstate colleagues to align service standards, coordinate workforce and resource planning, and contribute to strategic initiatives across the multi-campus network.
- Manage daily HNV Library operations on the Perth campus, delivering user support and student education while supervising casual staff to maintain high-quality services.
- Deliver collection management across print and electronic resources, including development, acquisitions, cataloguing, maintenance, shared e-resources, reviews, preservation, and special HNV and multi-campus projects.
- Provide backup support for reception and campus events, and maintain a safe campus environment by assisting with WHS matters where needed.
- This role is part-time 0.7 FTE, 26.6 hours/week (working days negotiable) during business hours.
- Remuneration: $77,554/annum pro-rated to $54,287/annum (excl. Super)
Essential Attributes (please respond to these attributes in your Cover Letter):
- Qualification in library studies conferring eligibility for Associate Librarian Membership of ALIA.
- 2 years’ experience working in a library, including cataloguing and customer service.
- Commitment to provide high quality customer service.
- Well-developed written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible and able to stay ‘on task’ unsupervised.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new programs and platforms and troubleshoot problems.
- Demonstrated Christian character and involvement in a local evangelical church.
- Alignment of personal values, beliefs and practices with the mission, Staff Code (https://tinyurl.com/mcstaffcode), and Christian ethos of Morling College.
Desirable Attributes
- Familiarity with theology as a subject area.
