Role Overview

This is a rare opportunity to lead a trusted, mission aligned media organisation with a strong national footprint. As Manager, you’ll guide the creative and strategic direction of Lutheran Media, champion its voice in the community and inspire a small and passionate team. Your work will shape how stories are told, how communities are engaged and how partnerships are built with congregations, supporters and media outlets. It’s a role with genuine purpose, combining leadership, creativity and relationship building, all while representing the organisation across diverse community and faith-based settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategic vision for Lutheran Media
• Oversee production, scheduling and distribution of media content
• Coordinate interviews, podcasts and thematic content
• Represent the organisation in community and faith-based settings, including occasional weekend work
• Build partnerships with congregations, community groups and media partners
• Lead quarterly campaigns and monthly communications
• Manage a team of five and coordinate volunteers
• Prepare Board reports, financial updates and strategic papers
• Promote Lutheran Media nationally and manage travel when required

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated leadership of staff and volunteers
• Project and stakeholder management capabilities
• Strategic planning and analytical thinking
• Ability to represent the organisation professionally across community and faith based settings

Desirable

• Experience in media, communications or community engagement
• Experience in the NFP, charity or outreach sectors
• Donor, supporter or stakeholder relationship experience
• Budgeting and financial oversight
• Digital, marketing or content capability
