Looking for our next amazing receptionist to work alongside and support our small Occupational Therapy clinic in Peakhurst and/or Newington.....

Flexible hours to work around you and your other commitments/lifestyle with 16 hours available on Monday-Thursday in a part -time or casual role.

Option to work at just Peakhurst or across Peakhurst and Newington.

About the Role

We are in search of our next highly motivated and professional Receptionist / Office Administrator to join our expanding team and support our Occupational Therapists, clients and parents. Work in our caring allied health clinic environment, you will be the front face of the business welcoming parents and their children to our clinic with your warm and friendly presence.

Your responsibilities will be diverse, working closely with the director and occupational therapists. We are a fun clinic and you will have the opportunity to support experienced therapists, in a small business striving for professional excellence.

You will be required to work independently, be proactive, have excellent problem solving abilities and strong communication and interpersonal skills. This position is casual with flexibility around days and times with possible increasing hours in 2026.

 

About Hopalong Occupational Therapy for Children

Hopalong OT has been providing paediatric occupational therapy services in Sydney for 29 years. Tahnee has owned the practice for the last 18 years. We operate 6 days a week- Monday- Saturday. Hopalong has also been the recipient of multiple business awards since 2012.

We are a small team of 3 friendly and supportive occupational therapists. We work across both clinic locations in Peakhurst and Newington.

We offer occupational therapy services to children and young people and their families. We work mostly from an individualised approach working one on one with children and their families. In the school holidays we offer small group therapy programs for up to 6 students.

Our clinics have multiple therapy gym spaces with smaller therapy rooms as well as a dedicated front desk reception area.

The role will include (but not limited to):

Welcoming and supporting parents and children to the clinic in an exceptional manner

Taking and actioning phone and email enquiries being our initial point of contact to support bookings for our OT’s

Booking in new and current clients using Google Calendar/Emails/Drive and MYOB

Taking client payments and managing invoices using MYOB and Eftpos machine including Medicare and NDIS payments

Assist with general client reports formatting and data entry

General administration and cleaning within the clinic

Group program booking forms, client booking and workbook preparation for school holidays
Duties to the director as required

To be successful you will (essential criteria):

Interest in working in the allied health industry with children and parents

Outstanding computer literacy

Exceptional customer service and telephone manner

Warm and caring interpersonal skills to parents and children

Confident communication skills both verbal and written

Work with efficiency with excellent organisational and time management skills

Ability to work independently and show initiative in a small team environment with excellent problem solving skills

Strong work ethic, be proactive, committed and strive for client satisfaction

Willingness and flexibility to learn

In addition you will (preferred criteria):

Previous experience in medical, allied health or similar administrative role

An understanding of the Medicare Benefits schedule, private health fund rebates and NDIS

An understanding of families with a child with a disability

 

Hours: 16 hours spread over 3-4 days offered as part-time with entitlements or casual with loading for Clerk Award Level 1- year 3
