Warehouse all-rounder with forklift and heavy rigid (HR) licencing

Food Solutions, a division of Christ Mission Possible, is a large ACNC-registered charity that serves free food to more than 20,000 people every week across Greater Western Sydney.

We’re growing rapidly and looking for a warehouse all-rounder with forklift and heavy rigid (HR) licencing to support the day-to-day running of our Jamisontown NSW warehouse and logistics operations that rescues and distributes large volumes of free food to those in need.

You’ll be one of our key people on the ground, supported by a friendly and responsive team based at our Jamisontown NSW head office.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Pick, pack, and dispatch free food hampers effectively and efficiently
2. Load/unload trucks (forklift use required)
3. Keep the warehouse and cool/freezer-rooms clean, organised, and running smoothly
4. Learn our rescued food and household item product range and direct the activities of our volunteers as required
5. Manage stock levels, complete regular stocktakes, and maintain inventory records
6. Use computer systems for emails, and stock record keeping and logistics

What You’ll Need

1. Previous warehouse or store-person experience (3+ years)
2. Valid forklift licence (required) and forklift experience (3+ years)
3. Valid medium rigid (HR) licence (required) and HR driving experience (3+ years)
4. Willingness to work independently and take ownership of site operations at different times when the Warehouse / Site Manager is offsite
5. Physically capable – lifting and pallet unloading involved
6. Basic computer skills (email, MS excel, MS word)
7. Strong communication and problem-solving skills
8. Respect for the Christan faith
