The Position - HSIE Teacher (Geography & Economics) Full Time, Starting Term 1, 2026

We’re looking for a suitably experienced full time HSIE Teacher - Geography and Economics to join our Danebank Community in Term 1, 2026.

You will be supporting the growth and development of our students and helping them to develop a deep understanding to be reflective and powerful learners.

Key Competencies, Skills and Experience

  • Be a strong Christian role model, with a deep commitment to the Christian purpose and mission of the school
  • Experience in teaching senior HSIE subjects, specifically Geography and Economics.
  • Ability to deliver effective pedagogy in an innovative and engaging manner.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
  • Professional and personal integrity.
  • Flexible and open to change.
  • Proactive and innovative.
  • Technologically literate and experienced in the integration of technology into every aspect of students’ learning.
  • Willingness to actively engage in co-curricular activities.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.

Essential

  • Qualification in secondary education.
  • Tertiary qualification in related subjects.
  • Accredited with NESA.
  • Working with Children check required.
  • Ability to teach junior HSIE subjects.

Desirable

  • Capacity to teach Stage 5 & 6 Geography, History and Commerce
