About the Role:

This role provides support to people affected by family violence through Crossway LifeCare's Family Violence Programs (FVP). The Case Worker will work alongside a small team primarily offering post-crisis support to women and children who have experienced family violence. The key responsibilities include processing referrals, completing intake assessments and providing case management support. This is a 3.5 day per week position (FTE 0.7). Location is primarily in Box Hill and occasionally Burwood East.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Provide client support and case management

• Process referrals and enquiries for Family Violence Programs and complete intake assessments

• Contribute to the safety culture, complying with policies and procedures and supporting the team

Qualifications, Skills and Experience needed:

• Social Work qualification

• Experience providing risk assessments (MARAM), and safety planning for victim-survivors of Family Violence, and knowledge of the FV Information Sharing Scheme

Knowledge of services in the Eastern Region that provide various supports for victim-survivors of family violence, and ability to provide appropriate referrals.

• Able to pass a National Criminal Check

• Have or are eligible for a Working with Children's Check
