Provide administrative support to the minister, finance officer, congregational members and committees to pursue the Mission of God within the church and the surrounding community, whilst complying with Uniting Church ethos and regulations.
Responsibilities
• Handling phone, email and personal enquiries (provides documentation/information in response)
• Filing and maintaining records
• Handling church communications and publications, creating and distributing bulletins and newsletters
• Assisting with scheduling meetings and renting out church facilities
• Coordinates and assists with planning and executing church events
• Manages the church’s rosters and schedule of events
• Works with different staff and volunteer members to ensure the church operates as efficiently as possible
• Manages office space and other incidental duties
Requirements and Skills
• Prior relevant experience as an office administrator or similar role
• Strong computer skills and ability to operate office equipment
• Ability to multi-task and problem solve
• Ability to keep confidential and sensitive information securely
• Police clearance and Working with Children Card
Work Arrangements
• Reports to Finance, Administration, Property and Publications (FAPP) committee
• 12 hours per week, permanent part-time
• Working hours subject to agreement, based at TNUCA Marlock Drive Worship Centre
