Assistant Accountant

You will be part of a professional, friendly, service focussed finance team aiming to ensure accurate and timely recording of finance transactions and presentation of appropriate and meaningful data to assist in decision making.

As Assistant Accountant you will be part of a professional, friendly, service focussed finance team aiming to ensure accurate and timely recording of finance transactions and presentation of appropriate and meaningful data to assist in decision making. You will be involved in advancing the work of global mission by using your excellent finance, administrative and interpersonal skills to accurately process and reconcile transactions, and provide administrative assistance to the finance team as needed.

As our team takes on additional tasks within the wider CMS fellowship, you will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, carrying out your duties in an effective and trustworthy manner. Primary Responsibilities will include accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, regular reconciliations and a range of compliance tasks for a number of different entities. This role will provide the right candidate with opportunities for growing and developing their accounting skills, including through study, within a supportive team.

The successful applicant will have relevant accounting skills and appropriate experience as set out in the Position Description, as well as a demonstrated interest in world mission. The applicant will also be available to work in our Sydney office for at least four days per week. Flexibility in hours may be available for the right candidate.

Salary will be appropriate to qualifications, skills and experience.
