SMG is the employer of more than 300 Pastoral Care Workers in SA government schools and is an approved Chaplaincy Service provider of the South Australian Department for Education (DfE) through the National Student Wellbeing Program (NSWP).

Position Summary: The Payroll Officer is responsible for end-to-end processing of the payroll. Contributing to government reporting requirements as well as preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll statements.

The duties associated with this position include the following:

WHAT DOES SMG DO?
SMG provides Chaplaincy Services to government schools through the engagement of a Pastoral Care Worker offering ongoing pastoral and practical support to school communities on behalf of the local community churches.
SMG works together with over 90 Combined Church ‘Support Groups’ across SA to provide support and resources to them as they endeavour to connect with, support and develop positive relationships with young people through their local school communities.
