The Board of Warrambui is looking for a dedicated Christian leader to oversee the spiritual impact and drive business growth of our Retreat and Conference Centre. This is a rare chance to guide Warrambui into a new chapter, expanding its reach and impact while securing its long-term success and sustainability.

The Role

We seek a committed Christian/s who are looking to grow in their faith journey and share that journey with others. Leading a team of hospitality, maintenance, operations and ministry interns, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of this multipurpose venue and ministry.

You’ll plan for the long term whilst leading the day-to-day operations of Warrambui, ensuring the guests (predominantly primary and high school aged children) receive an impactful and uplifting experience. Whether it be leading the board on strategic growth initiatives, building capability in your team, implementing new marketing initiatives and client engagement, or working on program design; this role is sure to keep you interested and provide diversity to your day.

About You

You’ll be strong Christian leader. Either individually or as a couple (also welcome). You’ll have a heart for Jesus and bringing his love through running inspired and high-quality retreat, conference and accommodation experiences. This position requires a spiritually mature Christian who is able and willing to support the Mission, Ministry and Confession of the Lutheran Church.

You will be confident in sharing your faith with others whilst actively living out your Christian values in how you go about your work. You will also be a strong communicator and people person, with experience in leading teams with a strong customer service ethic. Whilst not necessary, it would be ideal if you have experience in running a venue and/or young people's ministry. Skills in business development and client engagement will also be an advantage.

The successful applicant is required to live on-site and be involved in the daily activities of the centre, as well as playing an active part in the Warrambui community.

Warrambui offers a comprehensive remuneration package for the right person/people. This includes a large onsite family home (equipped with pizza oven), utilities, salary, and superannuation.

Our Story

Warrambui is a centre of ministry and support to the NSW Lutheran Church. Purchased in 1969 with money the Lutheran Youth of NSW raised themselves, the first camp was held on the 120-hectare property in January 1970. The recently refurbished Dome is a remarkable building, alongside the fully catered accommodation and onsite activities. Warrambui is a destination of choice for school, youth, church, community and corporate groups of up to 200 people.

Our team of staff and interns are from all over the world, and bring together their different cultural backgrounds, walking together in the light of Christ and sharing their common purpose in service. It is here that our guests, predominantly children and young people receive the opportunity for a truly diverse and impactful experience.
