The Role

As the Senior Development Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of multiple high-value property projects. Collaborating with key stakeholders, you’ll ensure projects meet customer, operational, and financial objectives. You will also mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a high-performing and supportive team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design and project management process to deliver high-quality seniors living projects, including independent living and aged care facilities.
  • Ensure alignment with customer, market, operational, and environmental requirements throughout the design and implementation phases.
  • Lead project delivery across key performance areas: time, cost, quality, scope, procurement, communication, risk, and integration.
  • Foster a culture of leadership and development within the team, mentoring junior staff to support professional growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external contractors, consultants, and suppliers to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing learnings and applying innovative methodologies.
  • Promote compliance with safety and operational standards, creating a culture of workplace safety and well-being.

About You

You are a proactive leader with a passion for delivering outstanding development projects. You excel at collaborating with diverse stakeholders and have a proven ability to manage complex projects while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Property Development or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in property development, with exposure to the aged care sector.
  • In-depth understanding of property development regulations and laws in NSW.
  • Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to identify opportunities and deliver measurable results.
  • Experience building networks with local councils, LGAs, community stakeholders, and the construction industry particulary with SSDA projects.

Job Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in Property Development or a closely related field. 7+ years in property development with experience in developing large ($200m-$300m) multi-staged seniors living projects.
