We seek an experienced Teacher/Trainer in Early Childhood to deliver Units of Competency within the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays - 8:30am to 4:30 pm and student workplace visits during workplacement.

Bedford’s Education Faculty are looking for a trainer who is a competent and confident Early Childhood pedagogue. One who values and advocates for the EC profession and have a wealth of stories and experience to bring to their classroom. Your learners will require your absolute patience and kindness especially leading up to Workplacement time where you will head out to assess them.

Bedford’s Education Faculty are wanting someone extremely well organised that can create systems and processes to ensure ASQA compliance is met in a timely manner. You will have an inventive mind to help design and develop contextually relevant assessment tools and your current knowledge will allow you to support students with amazing learning resources. Your days will be filled with best practice and how you can provide a learning environment that stimulates and supports self-initiated learners within a heuristic pedagogical approach.

Please read about this on our website and if they fit well with you, we would like to hear from you. https://www.bedford.edu.au/abo... must have a minimum of 7 years+ vocational experience in Early Childhood Education and Care with preference towards experience in leadership roles such as Centre Director, Educational Leader, Area Manager or Early Childhood Teacher to be considered as a Trainer/Teacher in Education at Bedford College.

You must also hold a minimum of a Cert IV in Training and Assessment Qualification: TAE40116 or TAE40122 (or older TAE40110 with TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools and TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills ) or an adult Teaching Degree. Previous experience working with Training packages and delivery in adult education is beneficial.

Desirable

  • Currency within three (3) years of working in an Australian Early Childhood Education and Care service will assist you in this role. You will need the most recent and up to date practice, pedagogy and legislative knowledge, skills, and attitudes to bring to the learners in your classroom.
  • If you do not hold currency within three (3) years, then demonstration through other modes such as professional engagement and consultation will need to show that you are current with the most recent and up to date practice, pedagogy and legislative knowledge, skills, and attitudes in early childhood.
  • You need to have a good all-round understanding of early childhood service operations, pedagogy and practice as many of the Units of Competency from the Training Package require deep understanding at ground level.
