Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2024.

The Wantirna South Campus is seeking a part-time (FTE 0.6) Kinder Assistant to commence in January 2025. In this role, you’ll bring your passion for working with young children and support the teaching staff in delivering engaging lessons across subjects like PE, Art, Craft, Music, and Creative Movement. You’ll assist with hands-on activities, classroom setup and cleanup, and contribute to memorable experiences like excursions. Part of this role includes setting up the Kinder space on Monday mornings, requiring a 7am start. As part of our dedicated team, you'll play a key role in ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment for our students.

You are an ideal candidate if you:

  • Have experience working with young children is preferred
  • Have a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (will be highly regarded)
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Have high level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Are highly motivated
  • Are Health and Safety minded
  • Have good administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Have excellent problem-solving skills
  • Are able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
  • Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities
