Baptist Insurance Services (BIS), a ministry of Australian Baptist Ministries, provides tailored risk protection solutions to Baptist churches, schools, camps, and aged care facilities across Australia.

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive State Manager to oversee our operations in New South Wales, supporting our constituents in navigating their current and future risk transfer needs.

This full-time role offers the flexibility of working both from home and the office on mutually agreed days, providing a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As State Manager, you will:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Baptist churches, schools, camps, and aged care facilities across NSW.
  • Provide tailored advice and support for insurance, mutual, and risk management needs.
  • Prepare renewal documentation and assist with claims settlements.
  • Conduct client visits to foster partnerships and provide exceptional service.
  • Collaborate with our national team to deliver seamless and impactful solutions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Understanding: Knowledge of the faith and not-for-profit sector, with a preference for candidates who are active church members.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of commercial insurance experience.
  • Qualifications: Tier 1 FSRA – ANZIIF qualification or willingness to obtain.
  • Skills: Strong client service, administration, communication, and IT proficiency.
  • Attributes: A proactive, service-oriented approach, with a commitment to building meaningful connections.
