Job Description

You will be skilled in facilitating dynamic learning experiences and maintaining a safe, positive, kitchen environment. Utilising the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program as a guide, they will plan and implement engaging experiences that align with the School’s curriculum.

  • Kitchen Program Coordinator Position (Outdoor Learning Centre)
  • Commencing Term 2, 2026 (13 May to 20 November)
  • Hours: As negotiated - 3 days per week (based at the OLC, Terrey Hills)

MOSMAN PREP is seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to coordinate the Kitchen Program at our Outdoor Learning Centre (OLC) in Terrey Hills.

The successful applicant will demonstrate advanced communication skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with students, staff, and parents. They will be skilled in facilitating dynamic learning experiences and maintaining a safe, positive, kitchen environment. Utilising the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program as a guide, they will plan and implement engaging experiences that align with the School’s curriculum.

They will actively support the vision and values of the School, including the Christian character and purpose.

Selection Criteria

The successful candidates will demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Willingness to actively support the Christian ethos of the School.
  • Advanced communication skills and a commitment to community and collaborative practice.
  • Capacity to educate and supervise boys aged 4–12 in an industrial kitchen setting, focusing on hygiene and safety.
  • Experience in developing and implementing learning programs, preferably utilising the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden model.
  • A passion for sustainability and the ability to embed Indigenous perspectives and "Place Based Learning" into the curriculum.
  • Ability to manage administrative tasks, including annual management plans and budget oversight.
  • Commitment to high professional standards, including NESA Accreditation requirements.
  • Working knowledge of work health and safety legislation and child protection requirements.
